About Xcelcor
Xcelcor makes Xcelcor Guardian, a Windows app that holds every new remote connection until someone you trust approves it. Xcelcor is part of Pragmio LLC.
Who we are
Pragmio has spent 16 years designing and integrating business systems for its clients, in healthcare, real estate and other work where things can't be allowed to break. Its teams are in the US and Poland, and its clients are in several countries.
Xcelcor is the part of Pragmio that works on one problem: strangers who talk their way into somebody's computer.
Why we built Guardian
Most remote access scams end the same way. A call, a text or a pop-up says something is wrong. The caller asks the person to install a real support tool, like AnyDesk or Quick Assist, and then to let them connect. Antivirus stays quiet, because there's nothing wrong with the tool. The danger is the person on the other end.
Guardian doesn't depend on spotting the trick. It moves the one decision the scam needs, whether to let someone in, to a person the caller can't reach. Here's how that works.
How we work
- We never phone you, and we never ask to connect to your PC. If someone says they're from Xcelcor and does either, hang up.
- Guardian collects what it needs to ask for an approval and nothing more. The privacy page lists exactly what that is.
- We publish scam alerts when new scams start going around, and the Scam Library explains the common ones in plain English. Both are free to read and share.
- Questions, press and partnerships all go to one address: support@xcelcor.com.
