Protect parents from remote-support scams
A practical setup when you are not in the room and they are the one on the phone.
The difficult moment is a convincing stranger and a parent who wants to be helpful. You cannot listen to every call. You can make the computer harder to quietly hand over, and you can hear about it if a session turns dangerous.
A rule agreed in advance — never install support software for a caller — is worth having, but it still depends on them holding the line while somebody convincing talks over them. Put Guardian on their PC and name yourself as the Trusted Guardian instead. Every new remote connection to that PC is then refused until you approve it, from an email or the dashboard, and they have no approve button for a caller to talk them into pressing. You do not see their screen, messages, documents, passwords, or banking.
